I have been out-and-about on 3 organised trapping events this week, seeing a lot of excellent moths, but meanwhile my garden trap has been chugging away in the background bringing in a few new species for my garden challenge, year, garden and life lists, the title referring to an unexpected Great Oak Beauty, given the fact that I neither live in or particularly close to a mature oak woodland.
Anyway, my new moths since the last report were, with the ones in bold being lifers!:
136. Red-barred Tortrix
137. Agriphila straminella
138. Great Oak Beauty
139. Barred Red
140. Light Emerald
141. Lime Hawk-moth
142. Common Footman
143. Dark Arches
144. Fan-foot
